Only know Southern Germany, but found it cleaner than anywhere we have ever been.

Has superb roads, great scenery, well signposted, and very polite (most Europeans are) Keep meaning to go back. We rode up through the Rhine Valley, saw  vineyards in places you wouldn’t believe possible on steep hills.  Stayed at a rather old fashioned hotel, because it was nearest the ferry;  Friendly enough, but felt like something out of a 1930s black & white film. Expected Peter Lorre to appear any moment. Who’s he you ask, ask your Dad or Grandad
